Mentorship and Practice Support

Two distinct ways of supporting therapists: learning or delegation

At The Zarf Collective, we offer two different forms of professional support for mental health practitioners, based on how involved you want to be in running your practice.

Some therapists want to learn how to build and sustain a private practice themselves.

Others want to remain clinicians and delegate operational work.

Both are valid. We support both — clearly and separately.

MENTORSHIP FOR THERAPISTS

Learn how to build and run your own private practice

Mentorship is a teaching and developmental space for therapists who want to understand all aspects of private practice — clinical, logistical, and professional — so they can make informed decisions and retain agency over their work.

This is not limited to personal growth or reflection. Mentorship here is practical, structured, and educational.

Mentorship may include:

  • Understanding how private practice actually works

  • Building confidence in professional identity and decision-making

  • Learning about practice structure, systems, and workflows

  • Navigating documentation, boundaries, and ethical responsibilities

  • Making sense of finance, pricing, and sustainability

  • Thinking through visibility, branding, and ethical marketing

  • Integrating clinical values with real-world practice demands

The goal is not to turn therapists into business managers, but to ensure they are informed, grounded, and not dependent on external agencies.

PRACTICE SUPPORT (done-for-you services)

For therapists who want to stay clinicians, not administrators

Practice support is a separate service for therapists who do not wish to learn or manage the operational side of practice themselves.

Here, we act as a practice-support agency, offering vetted, therapist-specific services so you can focus on clinical work.

Practice support may include:

  • Practice registration and compliance support

  • Legally vetted documentation and contracts

  • Finance and tax-related assistance for therapists

  • Software, systems, and practice management setup

  • Branding, website, and ethical marketing support

This service is execution-focused, not educational.
There is no expectation to learn, manage, or oversee these aspects yourself.

How this Connects to Supervision
  • Supervision focuses on clinical work and cases

  • Mentorship focuses on learning how to run a practice

  • Practice Support focuses on handling logistics for you

They are complementary, but not interchangeable.

Being part of Mehr's private practice mentorship has been a space for thoughtful reflection and growth. Her insights have challenged me to think critically about my approach while feeling supported in the process. I appreciate how she encourages discussion rather than prescribing one-size-fits-all advice, making the experience both meaningful and practical. Her present and thoughtful approach has had a significant impact on me, and I’m grateful for the wisdom she shares and the journey we’re on together.

Thank you Mehr.
